Judith Lael (Rea) Widick

Judith Lael (Rea) Widick, 82, of Macon, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 19, 2026.

Judith was born on June 22, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Robert and Roberta (Cummins) Rea. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1962 and later attended Eastern Illinois University.

On August 22, 1969, Judith married Keith Widick, and together they shared 57 years of marriage, building a lifetime of cherished memories.

Judith worked for A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company, later Tate & Lyle, dedicating more than 30 years of service throughout her career.

Judith enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. Her adventures took her to Fort Myers, Florida; San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; and many other memorable destinations. She especially treasured the many summers spent at the Lake of the Ozarks, where lasting memories were made. Whether visiting a favorite destination or discovering somewhere new, Judith embraced the opportunities life offered and enjoyed the experiences along the way.

Above all, Judith treasured her family and the generations of love and memories they shared. She is survived by her husband, Keith Widick of Macon; her son, Brett (Alicia) Widick of Macon; her four grandchildren, Lindsey, Katrina, Jessica, and Kalen; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Roberta Rea; and her brother.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Macon Township Cemetery.
