Judith Marie Conway

Judith Marie Conway, 77, of Virden passed away comfortably at home surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Judy was born February 23, 1948, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of George and Marie (Whalen) Fuiten. Judy married the love of her life, Jim (James) Conway, on December 29, 1972. Judy will be welcomed home by her husband Jim, both of her parents, and her brothers George, Tony, and Bernie Fuiten.

Judy was a 1966 graduate of Virden High School. She retired from the City of Virden, where she was a dispatcher for the Virden Police Department for many years. Judy is survived and will be deeply missed by her children; Keri Koval of Virden, Chuck (Tara) Conway of Auburn, Jamie (Vicki) Conway of Virden, Stella (Jeramey Spann) Conway of Virden, along with her chosen family; Penny Larson of Taylorville and Doug (Amy) Flowers of Virden. Her most prized possessions in life were her grandbabies; Payton (Matthew) Hatzopoulos, Jeramey Spann, Reece Conway, Caylee Conway, Tori Conway, Kendal Conway, Carlie Jude Conway, along with her chosen grandbabies; Aaron (Tara) Larson, Breanne Larson, Cydnee (Seth) Sloan, Riley Flowers and Kreed Flowers. She will also be remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy is finally at peace and the family asks for you to join them in saying goodbye on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden, IL. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at Virden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virden Police and Fire Department.
