Juanita Mae Lancaster Obituary (1939 - 2024)

Juanita Mae Paris Lancaster went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2024 at the Arc at Normal. She was born on December 3, 1939 at her grandparents Carby’s home in Flanagan, IL, the daughter of Arvil Lee and Helen Mae (Carby) Paris. She married Roger E. Lancaster on June 7, 1958 in Bloomington, IL. He survives after 65 years of marriage. She is also survived by her four children: Randall, Atlanta, IL; Pamela, Texas; Brenda (Dan), Kentucky; and Kevin (Linda), Heyworth, IL. There are nine surviving grandchildren who are Adam, Chad, Douglas, Anthony, Riley, Danny, Travis, Alison and Taylor as well as fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her baby brother Ronald Lee Paris as well as two great grandchildren. Juanita attended Colfax High School. She worked part time with her husband at the Bloomington Credit Bureau and Peace Meal for 20 years and also worked at State Farm Park for five years. Juanita enjoyed Professional Baseball and Basketball, NASCAR racing, reading, sewing, bingo and word puzzles. One of Juanita’s very special moments in life was her doggie Miss Liberty Belle. Cremation rites have been accorded with burial at Funks Grove Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project of a charity of the donor’s choice.
