Joyce Bain

Joyce Bain, 84, of Pana passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 in her home. She was born September 18, 1941 in Oran, MO to the late Odia & Myrtle (Grant) Bain.
Joyce worked in home care and was a cook at the nursing home. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and baking.
Joyce is survived by her children: William Henry Baker III, Kevin Washburn and Amy (Steve) Hall, all of Pana, IL; grandchildren: Edward Ettling III, Scottie Ettling, Michael Ettling, Breanne Hall, Brittanie Baker, William Baker IV, Madison Baker & Scott Baker; several great grandchildren and siblings: Dean Null, Bethalto, IL & Alta Gleason, Wood River, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Emory Bain, Mary Gleason, Stanley “Rudy” Bain, JoeAnn Ballard.
Per Joyce’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date and private family inurnment will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fayette County.
Memorials in Joyce’s honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
