Joy R. Trainor Obituary (1943

PONTIAC -- Joy R. Trainor, 66, of Pontiac died Saturday (June 13, 2009) at her home in Pontiac. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, with Monsignor Thomas Mack officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice. She was born May 10, 1943, in Fairbury, a daughter of Arthur and Genevieve Luttrell Masters. She married William T. Trainor on April 23, 1963, in Veedersburg, Ind. He passed away on July 22, 1994. She is survived by three sons, Steven (Marcie) Trainor of Pontiac, Douglas (Maranda) Trainor of Pontiac, and Jeffrey Trainor of Urbana; one brother, Kim Masters of Pontiac; one sister, Cheryl Armbruster of Cleveland, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Denver and Madisyn Trainor. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Kay Masters. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. She enjoyed her Thursday night card club and she was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan. Joy also enjoyed her "grand dogs" before she had grandchildren. She had been employed at Trainor Brothers Sale Barn for many years. She had also worked at the Daily Leader in Pontiac and was a homemaker She was a graduate of Forrest Strawn Wing High School. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family.
