Joshua “Josh” Loy Kuntzman, 40, of Virden, IL, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Josh was born December 18, 1985, in Springfield, IL, the son of Nathan and Michelle (Barnes) Kuntzman. Surviving is his loving partner, Christina Lance; his mother, Michelle Jorgensen of Virden, IL, his two sons, Jace Kuntzman of Girard, IL and Josh Kuntzman II of Virden, IL; and the mother of his children, Kristle Murphy; his brother, Adam Kuntzman of Virden, IL, and his grandmother, Ethel Kuntzman of Chatham, IL. He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather; and a brother, Cory Kuntzman. Josh graduated from Virden High School. He was an outdoorsman working various jobs that included farming, tree trimming, and landscaping. He also enjoyed fishing during his free time and listening to hard metal music. Per Josh’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden, IL. A Celebration of Josh’s Life will be held later by the family.
