Josephina Torrez-Brady Obituary (1972

Josephina Torrez-Brady, 53, of Pontiac passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. She was born on February 1, 1972 in Pontiac, the daughter of Adalberto Torrez and Elisa Cerda Numergut. She married Christopher Brady on October 26, 2005 in Maui. He survives. In addition to her husband, Josephina is survived by her parents of Pontiac; three children, Jonathan (Adi Trujillo) Williams, Jacob Williams, and Amillia Brady, all of Pontiac; and four grandchildren, Penelope, Damon, Hadley, and Natalie. She is also survived her siblings, Rosendo, Sophia, and Albert (Jne). She is preceded in death by her grandparents. Josephina is a graduate of Pontiac High School and St. Francis College of Nursing. She worked at the Pontiac Correctional Center since 1998, beginning as a correctional officer, and advanced her way up to nursing supervisor. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, attending most of their sporting events. She also loved to craft and shop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
