Jonathan "Jon" D. Hodge Obituary (1959

Jonathan "Jon" D. Hodge, 59, of Leroy, passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Leroy. His funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, with his brother-in-law, Rev. Michael Kleeberger officiating. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens immediately following services. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. He was born August 21, 1959 in Normal, son of Roy Vernon and Beverly J. Crosby Hodge. He married Rhonda Swafford on February 14, 1978. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are one son, Nathan Hodge of Bloomington; two step-daughters, Mandi and Kelcy Camp of Bloomington; his sister, Janet (Rev. Michael) Kleeberger of Surprise, AZ; his brothers, Joe (Natalie) Hodge of Colorado Springs, CO and Jim (Donna) Hodge of Bloomington and many nieces and nephews. Jon worked as a self-employed contractor and spent many years installing carpet and flooring for Carpet Weavers in Bloomington. He was an avid fisherman and was a tournament director for the Jackpot Team Trail Bass Tournament and also competed in the National Bass Fishing Trail Tournament and Everbloom Tournament Trails. Jon loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling to Smith Camps at Lake of the Woods in Ontario, Canada. Jon was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and a Minnesota Vikings football fan.
