Johnny H Tarrant

Johnny H. Tarrant, Sr., 89 of Taylorville, passed away on November 8, 2013 at 9:50 p.m. in Taylorville Care Center. He was born on January 26, 1924 in Taylorville, the son of Ralph Clifford and Lora (Huddleston) Tarrant. He married Josephine Emmerson on April 11, 1943 in Taylorville and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2000. Mr. Tarrant is survived by his son: Johnny(Diana) Tarrant, Jr. of Sevierville, TN, daughters: Lula Goins of Taylorville, Lora(Duane)Cook of Indianapolis, IN, Ronda(Mark)Cutler of Moweaqua, IL and Rita Thomas of Fargo, N.D. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Surviving also are his sisters: Caroline Thompson of Taylorville and Barb (William) Smitty of New Albany, IN, sister-in-law: Shirley Tarrant of Taylorville and Brothers: Dean (Nancy) Tarrant of MO and Larry (Wanda) Neidish of FL. Visitation will be held on November 12, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Johnny Tarrant, Jr. will be officiating with burial in Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville.
