John Weaver, Sr. Obituary (1942

John Charles Weaver, Sr., 81, of Dwight passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Pontiac. He was born September 24, 1942 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of William Sr. and Beatrice Wilson Weaver. He married Peg Clark on August 3, 1963 in Loretto. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy Jardine; a son, John C. (Wendy) Weaver, Jr.; three grandchildren, Sean Jardine, Joshua (Amanda) Jardine, and John (Kristen) Weaver; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, William (Shirley) Weaver, Jr., a sister-in-law, Charlote Weaver, and several nephews and nieces. John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Weaver. John was known for his enjoyment of fishing as well as his love for animals, including cats, dogs, and birds. He also loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, and was an avid woodworker. A memorial visitation will be held at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight on Friday, July 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Livingston County Humane Society.
