John H. Toppel 68 of Dwight, IL died Sunday November 15, 2020 at 9:00AM at his residence.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials in John's name may be made to the American Kidney Association. Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, IL is handling the arrangements.

John was born on January 20, 1952 in Elmhurst, IL a son of Fred and Betty (Szoke) Toppel. He married Debbie Griffith on July 14, 2007 in Elk Grove Village, IL. She survives in Dwight, IL. Also surviving is one brother: Sam Toppel of Dwight, IL. John was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

John had been employed at Portillo's Hot Dogs restaurant.
