John R. Nation, 80, of Stonington, IL died at 4:15 pm Sunday, July 31, 2005, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1925 in Bow, KY, the son of John T. and Gertie Madison Nation. On December 18, 1947 he married Wanda E. Arms in Burksville, KY. Mr. Nation was a retired farmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stonington, IL. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Nation of Stonington, IL; 2 sons: Bobby W. Nation and wife Becky and Donnie R. Nation both of Stonington, IL; Brother Berel Nation of Bow, KY and Sister: Eula Vincent of Moweaqua, IL. There are 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 4, 2005 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Wayne Mollohan officiating. Burial will be in Ponting Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the funeral home on Thursday.
