John Andrew Stork

John Andrew Stork, 52, of Spaulding, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
John was born on March 6, 1974 in Springfield, IL, the son of Don E. Stork and Donna L. (Dove) Stork. He was a graduate of the Mortuary Science program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. John was a dedicated funeral director/embalmer at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home for many years compassionately tending to the families every need.
John was a sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame University. John had a love for animals and music. He had a great sense of humor and was usually the smartest person in the room. John was a proud father and a loving son and brother.
John is survived by his son: John Andrew Pyle-Stork of Springfield, IL; parents: Don E. (Hazel) Stork of Riverton, IL and Donna L. Stork of Buffalo, IL; sister: Denise (Norman) Johnson of Sherman, IL; companion: Tiffany LaDew of Spaulding, IL; step-sisters: Dianne (Tyson) VonBehren of Sherman, IL, Carin Roscetti of Williamsville, IL and Cristie Roscetti of Riverton, IL; niece: Jordyn Todd of Springfield, IL; nephew: Zachary (Stephanie) Todd of Oklahoma City, OK.
A service to honor John’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel, 4020 N. Water Street Decatur, IL 62526. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. A Celebration of Life will take place following the funeral service at the Riverton Village Tap, 305 E. Jefferson Riverton, IL. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
