Janet Katherine Breese Obituary (1925

PONTIAC- Janet Katherine Breese, 98, of Pontiac, formerly of Normal, passed away at 11:40 PM on July 19, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Pontiac. Her private family graveside service will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Pat Meyer officiating. Janet Breese was born in Normal, IL on December 29, 1925 to Sylvan and Mary Katherine (Dunn) Breese of rural Lexington, IL. She is survived by her sister; Jane Melton, Normal, IL; niece; Katherine (Daniel) Bounds, Gridley, IL; nephews, William D. (Debbie) Melton, Lexington, IL, John (Sally) Breese, rural Lexington, IL, and Mark (Marion) Breese, Columbia, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and spouses; Robert (Margel) Breese, David (Sally) Breese; 1 nephew; 4 nieces; and brother-in-law, William E. Melton. Janet graduated from Lexington High School in 1944. She lived and worked in Chicago, IL for 45 years. Upon retirement she returned to Normal, IL. Janet was a fun-loving person and loved family gatherings. She will be greatly missed. Memorials may be sent to Goldwater Care; 1225 Ewing Drive, Pontiac, Illinois 61764.
