James L. Holzhauer, Jr., age 59, of Pontiac, IL passed away at 3:16 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In James’ memory, memorials may be made to the family. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. James was born on September 12, 1964, in Pontiac, IL to James and Hazel (Smith) Holzhauer. Survivors include his children, Anthony Holzhauer, Amber Elliott, Megan Logue, Rob Runyon, and Barry Shoemaker; grandchildren, Olivia Holzhauer, Hunter Elliott, Kirstin West, Kylee West, Alec Logue, Lucas Logue, Lily Logue, Gaige Runyon, Alanna Shoemaker, Olivia Shoemaker, and Trent Johnson; siblings, Betty Blair, Linda Sears, Jimmy Doug Holzhauer, Paula Schneider, Christine Sanders, Caroline Holzhauer, and Carl Holzhauer, and Mike Blair. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Allen. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Blair. James attended and graduated from Pontiac Township High School. He then went on to work for Union Roofing until his retirement. James enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and time with his beloved dog. James was a good father, grandpa, brother, and friend.
