Obituary
Izetta Braden was born November 26, 1961 in Chicago, IL to the proud parents of Izetta and James Lee Braden, who both have preceded her in death.
Izetta graduated from Du Sable High School in Chicago, IL in 1979. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree at Illinois State University in Normal, IL in 1983.
Izetta was employed with State Farm Insurance Company in Bloomington, IL, as a supervisor for 27 years.
Izetta was affectionately known by her family as “Poochie” and by her friends as “Izzy.”
Izetta accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was very active in church and often held Bible studies with friends and co-workers. Izetta loved blessing and giving to others; especially with her works she did by keeping her “hands busy.” She often made rugs and blankets from her love of crocheting. Whatever anyone needed, Izetta would find a way to make sure you had it. Izetta also loved entertaining and spending time with family.
Friends and neighbors of Izetta have expressed feeling blessed to have known her and will forever cherish the friendships that were established.
Izetta was also preceded in death by sisters, Ethel and Roxanne and brother, William. Izetta was called home by our Lord on December 14, 2024.
She leaves to cherish her memories a sister, Phyllis; brother, Jerome (Patricia); nieces, Brenda (Charlie), Jenae, Quiana, Brandy and Gabrielle; nephews, Armand, Gabe and Darrick; great-nieces and nephews and a host of other family, friends and neighbors.
