Irma Kay Stombaugh

Irma Kay Stombaugh, 75, of Macon, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Irma was born on December 2, 1950 in Denver, CO, the daughter of Lewis and Eileen (Greene) Secord. She married Neal E. Stombaugh on November 21, 1970. Irma devoted herself to raising her family before returning to the workforce in 1994. She retired from Von Maur in 2017 after many years of service.
Irma found great joy in spending time with family and friends and cherished her roles as wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her rose bushes, gardening, walking, traveling and spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
Irma is survived by her husband: Neal Stombaugh of Macon, IL; daughter: Stacy (Don) Plunkett of Hanover Park, IL; grandchildren: Trey Plunkett and Lucas Plunkett; siblings: Wayne (Laura) Secord, Leslie (Bill) Gibson and Coleen (Steve) Nelson; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her children: Thomas, Tracy and Travis.
A graveside service to honor Irma’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at South Macon Township Cemetery followed with a luncheon at Macon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:00-1:30 p.m. on Friday at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Macon United Methodist Church.
