Howard K. Zimmerman, 73, of Chenoa, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9:40 a.m. at his home.\r\n\r\nHis service will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Pontiac Bible Church in Pontiac with Pastor Jarrod Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be at Center Cemetery in Flanagan.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac.\r\n\r\nDuffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.\r\n\r\nHoward was born March 23, 1943 in Breckenridge, Colorado to Eldon and Irma (Crawford) Zimmerman. He married Gloria Suzanne Mount on August 29, 1964. They were married for 32 years before she passed away September 10, 1996.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his two sons, William (Kayce) Zimmerman of Chenoa and Daniel (Lisa) Zimmerman of Pontiac; and six grandchildren, Madeline, Jackson, Harrison, Solomon, Rylee, and Natalie, all of which he loved dearly.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; and one brother, Raymond Zimmerman.\r\n\r\nHoward graduated from Flanagan High School and from Illinois State University in Ag Education. It was at ISU where he met his bride to be.\r\n\r\nHoward taught Ag at the high school in Bement, Illinois for four years and then at Chenoa High School for 25 years. He was involved with Livingston County 4-H, the County Zoning Board, IAVAT, and many more organizations.\r\n\r\nHoward was an avid bowler, a hunter, and liked to play golf but most important he loved to attend all of his grandkids events.
