Helen I. Woodall, 84, of Taylorville died at 7:45 pm Thursday, February 27, 2003 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Pana, IL. She was born May 29, 1918 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Grover and Bessie Dilbeck Stoddard. On August 5, 1939 she married Elwood E. Woodall in Rollo, MO and he preceded in death on February 27, 2000. Mrs. Woodall was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Haslemere Chapter #221 Order of Eastern Star, member and Past Queen of Abeba Temple #42 Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Ansarettes. She was a retired beautician. Surviving son: Jim Woodall and wife Josie and a daughter, Brenda Hamell and husband Allen both of Taylorville, IL. Grandchildren: Jeff Woodall and wife Kelly of Winfield, IL and Jim Woodall and wife Jennifer of Taylorville. 4 Great Grandchildren: Garrett, Chase, Trevor and Zackary Woodall. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband and 1 brother Darrell Stoddard preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday March 3, 2003 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville with Rev. Dr. Phil Icenogle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2003 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Taylorville.
