Helen Louise (Purcell) Perrine, age 78, of Lincoln, IL, passed away March 21, 2026, at Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

Helen was born December 31, 1947, in Oblong, IL, to Robert and Eva (Weger) Purcell, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Ronda (Josh Blagg) Zielsdorf of Farmer City, IL and her son Wayne (Tina) Perrine of Findlay, IL; grandchildren: Chris (Cassie) Perrine of Lincoln, IL, Matt (Kacie) Zielsdorf of Arrowsmith, IL, Jordan Zielsdorf of Marquette Heights, IL, Austin Zielsdorf of Colfax, IL, Hunter Perrine of Findlay, IL, Maddie Perrine of Findlay, IL, Parker Perrine of Findlay, IL; great-grandchildren: Felix Perrine, Hadley Zielsdorf, Korra Zielsdorf, Ember Zielsdorf, Paige Neuhaus, Trinity Neuhaus, Zoey Luken; great-great-grandchildren: Fairlynn Neuhaus, Delilah Tennison, siblings: Roberta Hill of Argenta, IL, John Purcell of Gibson City, IL, Bob Purcell of Gibson City, IL, Debbie (Kevin) Seitz of Decatur, IL, Mary Jane (Tom) Edwards of Enchanted Oak, TX; and one Aunt, Louise (Weger) Wilt of Robinson, IL.

Helen loved working in her flower beds with her grandchildren. She was especially proud of her rose bushes and insisted on them being transplanted every time she moved to a new residence. She also collected Native American novelty. During her retirement, she spent a lot of time watching the St Louis Cardinals, COPS, and home improvement shows.
