Harold "Pete" Wheeler Obituary (1947

Harold E. “Pete” Wheeler, 77, of Bloomington, IL passed away at 9:51 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. Per Pete’s wishes cremation rites were accorded and there will be no services. His family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. Pete was born June 29, 1947, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Edwin H. and Vera May Pleines Wheeler. He married Shirley Price on January 4, 1995, in Bloomington. She died January 6, 2025. Surviving are three daughters Amy Doyle and Angie Doyle both of Bloomington, and Crystal Wano of Stanford; six grandchildren Preston Alexander, Tristen Doyle, Anthony Doyle, Charley Roberts, Bailey Taylor, and Molly Roberts; and several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pete was a union roofer in Bloomington. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete’s life was a testament to hard work and dedication. Though he has left us, his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories we cherish, and the love he shared so freely. His love will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
