Harison Daniels Obituary (1926

Harrison Daniels, 78, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:55 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. He was born October 30, 1926 in Bulpitt, IL the son of Harrison and Olive Osborn Daniels, Sr. On September 28, 1946 he married Dorothy M. McArdle in Taylorville, IL and she preceded in death on April 13, 2001. Mr. Daniels was a member for 66 years and an Elder of Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville and was a member of the Christian Men's Fellowship of the church. He was a naval veteran of World War II and was a member of Teamster's Local 279 in Decatur, IL. He had been employed for 30 years with Gene Kennedy Construction, 10 years with RABCO, employed by Christian County Medical Clinic from 1987 - 2001 and Taylorville Family Care from 2001 until 2004. Mr. Daniels is survived by his son Buddy Daniels and wife Wilma of Edinburg, IL; 5 Daughters: Barbara Cairns and husband Scott of Superior, WI, Alice Newlin and husband John, Annetta Daniels, Arlene Graham and husband John all of Taylorville, IL, and Cathy Russell and husband Jim of Herrick, IL. Brother, Jesse Daniels of Jeffersonville, IN and 3 Sisters: Bettie Meloon Thompson and Shirley Randall both of Taylorville, IL and Vi Walton of Stonington, IL. There are 15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 sister, Drucilla Sloan and two brothers, Robert Daniels and Wallace Daniels. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 15, 2004 in Davis Memorial Christian Church, Taylorville with Dr. Lonnie Southern and Rev. Vicki Southern officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, November 14, 2004 in Davis Memorial Christian Church and one hour prior to services in the church on Monday.
