Gregg F. Pensky Obituary (1958

LEXINGTON-Gregg F. Pensky, 65, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lexington. His funeral service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lexington with a visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Pastor Kyle Ronchetto will officiate. Interment will be in Lexington cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be given to the family or to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lexington. Calvert-Johnson Memorial Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Gregg was Born in Bronx, New York on July 30, 1958, a son to Jesse and Sheila Barash Pensky. He married Cheryl Colclasure on November 10, 2001, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lexington. She survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Brittany (Chris) Berry, Tenn.; stepchildren, James DePaepe Jr., Normal, Daniel (Leslie) O'Dell, KY, Kerah (Baillie) Shumate, Normal: 4 grandchildren, Dominic O'Dell, Aaliyah O'Dell, Ariyanah O'Dell, Braylin DePaepe; brother, Alan (Lynn) Pensky, CT; special nieces, Danielle Randle, Kristin Wanless; and several nieces and nephews; and in-laws, John and Ruth Colclasure , who were a big help with his care in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gregg’s faith was an essential part of his life. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lexington where he was very active, having served as a past elder. He worked at Eastland Pharmacy, at OSF, and was a volunteer at OSF for many years. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, The Mets, and The Rangers, and a big fan of ISU Redbird Women’s Basketball.
