Grace M. Eskridge Obituary (1934

El Paso- Grace M. Eskridge, 90, of Carlock, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Normal. Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Secor Cemetery in Secor. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in El Paso is handling arrangements. Grace was born in El Paso on January 19, 1934, a daughter to Chris and Magdalene Schuck Eichelberger. She married Charles Eskridge in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1982. Surviving are her sons, Randy (Susan) Eskridge, San Diego, CA, Joe (Jackie) Eskridge, of El Paso, stepdaughter, Roxann(John) Moss, Downs; grandchildren, Charles (Melissa) Eskridge, Heather (Brian) Thompson, Katherine (Ben Williams) Eskridge, Brianna Eskridge, Jennie Minassian; several great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bob and Gordon Eichelberger. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Mary, Luella, and Jeanette, and 1 grandson, John. Grace and Charles were owners of the Maples Restaurant in Kappa for many years. Grace most enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With endless patience and infinite love she would spend hours watching them, playing games with them and being present for them as they grew.
