Gloria Jean Krantz

LEXINGTON- Gloria Jean Krantz, 69, of Lexington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 2, 2025, in Lexington.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 501 East Chatham Street, Lexington, IL 61753, Calvert – Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home in Lexington is assisting the family.

Gloria was born in Pekin, Illinois on January 22, 1956, a daughter to Rubel and Dora (Sanders) Martin. She married Ken L. Krantz in Bloomington on April 23, 1976. He survives.

Also surviving is her son Chris Krantz, Lexington; siblings, David (Anna) Martin, Doyle Martin, Linda Boaz, Herbert Martin, Jeanette Ireland; aunts, Cleo Murphy, Rachel Dean, Lyla Sanders, Emmer Antonucci, Clara Zemelka; mother-in-law , Mary Montgomery;and several cousins; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Gloria and Ken were long time members of the First Baptist Church in Lexington. She was a talented seamstress and made all her own clothes, she also tailored men’s suits in Bloomington for several years. Gloria was very good at solving sudoku puzzles which she loved. She was also a great decorator and landscaper always beautifying her home. She will be dearly missed.
