Glenn R. Meyer

Glenn R. Meyer, 77, of Cornell died at 6 p.m. Friday (June 22, 2012) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

His funeral will be at noon Tuesday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church, Pontiac.

Glenn was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Sherburne, Minn., to Edwin and Elsie Brant Meyer. He married Phyllis S. Bakken on Aug. 6, 1952, in Blue Earth, Minn. She died Oct. 1, 2011.

Surviving him are one son, Randy (Janet) Meyer, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Candice (Rickey) Carwyle, Pontiac; and Lori (Ed) Neville, Roanoke, Va.; one brother, Leroy (Valera) Meyer, Sherburne, Minn.; one sister, Fern Wolhers, Minnesota; eight grandchildren and and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife, two sisters and one brother.

Glenn had been employed at Caterpillar for 30 years as a machinist until retirement. He was of the Lutheran faith.
