Gillian Joyce Rongey Obituary (1937 - 2019)

Gillian Joyce Rongey age 81 of Normal IL passed away at 5:30 PM on Friday, November 27, 2010 at The Loft, Normal IL. There will be no service or visitation. The family suggest memorials be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or the Community Cancer Center, Normal, IL. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Gillian was born December 10, 1937 in New York, New York the daughter of O. George and Joyce Rosemary Phillips Wittenborn. Surviving is her brother, Andrew (Kathy) Wittenborn, nieces, Renee Rongey, Danvers, IL and Geri Bastian, Danvers, IL. Gillian is preceded in death by her parents. Gillian was a nurse and graduated from General School of Nursing, Montreal Canada. Gillian taught at School of Practical Nursing, Bloomington, IL for over 22 years. She retired from her nursing career at BroMenn Hospital, Normal. Gillian enjoyed all animals and crafting.
