Gerald "Jerry" Duane Shurts

Gerald (Jerry) Duane Shurts, 70, of Henry, passed away at his home on April 2, 2026, with his wife Robin by his side.
Jerry was born October 10,1955 in Spring Valley, Il the son of Duane and Charlotte (Lindley) Shurts. Jerry married Robin Brash on April 20, 2002, in Ottawa, IL.
Jerry worked for Peoria Tractor for many years and Altorfer Cat for many years as operations manager over the truck department.
Jerry was a family man; his family meant the world to him. He was surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Shurts, of Henry, his sisters, Sharon Murphy, Sandy Miles, Judy (Dana) Schwiderski, Jean Watkins, all of Henry, Joy Landers, of FL, and his brother, Bill (Linda) Shurts, of Henry, his best friend, Al (Juanita) Bumgardner , of Henry, along with many nieces and nephews. Jerry had two stepchildren, Danny Brash and Lisa Farmer, both of MD, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Lloyd Murphy, Ronnie Miles, Mike Watkins and Dave Lander.
Cremation rites have been accorded, Private family graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Henry. Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the MS Society. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
