Gerald D. “Jerry” “Tucson” Cremeens 76, of Pontiac died Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. at his residence. His funeral will be held on Thursday July 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac with Revs. Tiffany Black and Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday at Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka. Memorials in Jerry’s name may be made to Livingston County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac is handling the arrangements. Jerry was born on July 18, 1948, in Peoria, a son of Raymond and Virginia (Henderson) Cremeens. He married Carolyn Winterstein on October 16, 1996, in Pontiac. She survives in Pontiac. Also surviving are seven children; Jerri Lynn Watson of Flanagan, IL, Jason Cremeens of Flanagan, Il, Mark (Sarah) Williams of Long Point, Annette (Scott) Vaughn of Pontiac, Paul (Connie) Williams of Ridgecrest, CA, John Williams of Pontiac, Doug (Dawn) Williams of Pontiac; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Don (Jean) Cremeens of Germantown Hills, one sister, Janet Hall of Des Moines, IA; his beloved dog Copper and three nieces. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew: Mark Cremeens. Jerry was educated in Flanagan schools and was employed by the State of Illinois for thirty-one years. After retiring from the state Jerry drove for Folkerts Trucking in Flanagan for many years. Jerry was a race car driver for several years.
