George Yard

George Yard, 64 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7:13 p.m. at his home in Taylorville, IL. He was born on March 5, 1962, in Taylorville, IL, the son of Leroy and Joyce (Nichols) Yard.

He is survived by his Wife: Debbie Yard; children: Jackie, Jonathon (Deana), Matthew (Jessica), Regan (Jared); Grandchildren: Cash, Luke, Charlotte, Isla and Jolie; Siblings: David (Becky), John (Rondi), Mike (Rafeleta), Joy (Rick), Susan (Ken), Jim (Dale), Peggy (Randy). He was preceded in death by his parents.

George will be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Christian County Crime Stoppers or to the Taylorville Bowling Foundation.
