Gary C. Buzzard

Gary C. Buzzard, 59, of Mt. Auburn, IL died at 7:50 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. He was born February 2, 1943 in Effingham, Illinois the son of Carl E. and Lois Truitt Buzzard. On July 9, 1997 he married Connie S. Drabing in Taylorville, IL. Mr. Buzzard was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church, a veteran of U.S. Army, American Legion Post 1057, Mt. Auburn, Kedron Lodge #340 A.F.&A.M., Ansar Shrine and Consistory, Mt. Auburn Village Board and Mt. Auburn Community Club Board. He was employed as an oil well inspector for the State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Buzzard of Mt. Auburn, IL; Son, Todd Buzzard and fiancee Donna and children Ryan, Kylee and Tyler of Walnut, IL; mother, Lois Buzzard of Mt. Auburn, IL; Brother, Terry Buzzard and wife Judy of Mt. Auburn, Sister, Cheryl Butcher and husband Gary of Mt. Auburn, 2 aunts, Carolyn Randall of Beecher City, IL and Mildred Holtfreter of Blue Mound. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were his father, sister, Janet Greene and 2 brothers in infancy.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 16, 2002 in Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church with Rev. George Heineman officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2002 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 pm
