Franklin L. Silas Obituary (1939 - 2024)

Franklin J. Silas of Chenoa, IL died Sunday June 9, 2024 at 9:25pm at Carle BroMenn Regional Medical Center Normal, IL. His graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 10:30am at Chenoa Cemetery with Pastor Ivy Silas officiating. Memorials in Frank’s name may be made to PASBF (Pension and Health Benefits of the Methodist Church) or to the McDowell Methodist Church. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac is handling the arrangements. Frank was born on September 11, 1939 in Bareilly, India a son of Lala Lachman and Florence Silas. He married Ivy Johnson on October 14, 1983 in India. She survives in Chenoa, IL. Also surviving are two sons: Paul (Beth) Silas of Jacksonville NC and Phillip (Saira) Silas of New Berlin, IL; three grandsons: Joshua, Michael and Jacob Silas; one brother: Ronald (Christina) Silas of LaSalle Ontario Canada. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother. Frank received his Master’s Degree from Brethren Seminary in Oak Brook, IL. He was a methodist pastor for his entire life.
