Dress is casual—if you have a ‘Hank’s Hair We Are T-shirt, this is the perfect time to dig that puppy out and give ‘er a spin!
Let’s come together to celebrate Hank’s legacy with love, laughter, and great memories.
Hank attended Lexington schools and, after graduation, attended Peoria Barber
College (PBC). He worked as a barber throughout his entire career, starting at a small shop in Clinton, Illinois, before moving on to Foxy’s Barber Shop in Bloomington. In
1965, he opened his own shop, Hank’s Hair We Are, in Normal, and ended his career at
Kings Full in Bloomington. Hank was an avid sports fan who loved watching his children and grandchildren during their sports years. He also had many friends from attending local sports events, particularly basketball games and had a special bond with the class of 1998 ISU basketball team. He was overjoyed when his team won, but if they lost, he’d always say, “We were cheated!”
Hank enjoyed traveling and cherished the memories of vacations with friends, some of
which were truly epic! His family would like to express their gratitude to all the friends
who brought so much joy to his life. If Hank was your friend, you had a friend for life.
And lastly, a heartwarming thank you to all of Hank’s loyal clients who supported him
until the end.
We hope Hank will be remembered as the fun-loving person we knew and loved.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
