Franklin J. Dial, Jr. Obituary (1938 - 2016)

Franklin J. Dial, Jr., 78, of Pontiac, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 12:04 p.m. at his home. His service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Jeremy Latzke officiating. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac will be at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Frank was born May 10, 1938 in Cleveland, OH to Franklin J. and Irene A. (Leach) Dial, Sr. He married Diana Snyder on September 15, 1962 in Willowick, OH. She survives in Pontiac. Also surviving are his children, Deidre (Chris) Kraven of Oakwood Village, OH, Regina (Britt) Cagle of Dublin, TX, Angela (David) Coan of Pontiac, IL, and Timothy (Sharon) Dial of Pontiac, IL; brothers, Frederick (Linda) Dial of Cleveland, OH and David (Elizabeth) Dial of Cleveland, OH; sisters, LaVerne (Erwin) Bakata of North Ridgeville, OH and Dolleen (Daniel) Bakata of Lorain, OH; grandchildren, Briana, Natashia, Michael, Alex, and Magnolia; and great grandchildren, Anne and Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Laura, in infancy and Caroline Estep; and two brothers, Thomas Dial and Glenn Dial. Frank served in the U. S. Army National Guard from 1955 to 1963. He worked in assembly at Caterpillar and was Lutheran in faith. Memorials may be made to the family for the further education of Frank's grandchildren.
