Evans Lewis Force Obituary (1939

Evans Lewis "Snookie" Force, 74, of Macon, IL passed away at 1:26 p.m. on Thursday (June 19, 2014) in St. Mary's Hospital. A graveside service to celebrate Evans life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday (June 23, 2014) at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family has requested casual attire for Evans' service. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter. Evans was born on November 8, 1939 in Decatur, IL, the son of Harold L. "Greenie" and Mary M. (Manion) Force. He retired in 1999 from Aramark, formerly F.W. Means after 36 years of service. Evans was a gun-enthusiast and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, ginseng and mushroom hunting. He loved his gadgets and natural cure-alls. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Illini fan. Evans enjoyed giving to many different charitable organizations. Evans is survived by his son: Chris E. (Raychelle Morgan) Force of Macon, IL; daughter: Shelli (John) O'Brien of Taylorville, IL; sisters: Barb (Chuck) Tippit of Decatur, IL and Debbie (Bill) Reagan of Elwin, IL; grandchildren: Andrea Force, Katie O'Brien and Tommy O'Brien; great grandson: Jamarius Force; several nieces, nephews and special friends: Bill Henson and Bill Fonner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Susie Arnold, brothers: Harry "Butchie" Force and Robert D. Force, sister: Donna M. Coventry.
