Eric A. Grice

Eric A. Grice, 27 of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at his home.

Services for Eric will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 5pm at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, with Pastor Jason Collins officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-5pm on Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to be made to the Autism Association of America.

Eric was born on January 6, 1998, in Bloomington, the son of Robert Grice and Rebecca “Beckie” McCurdy Vaughn.

He is survived by his parents; brothers and sister: Michael (Jamie) Vaughn, Chicago; Jennifer Vaughn, New Lenox; Robert M. (Nicole) Grice, Holder and Brandon Lee Grice, Bloomington. Also surviving is his Uncle Kenny (Kim) Funk, Hudson; Aunt Debra Wilson and step grandfather, Elvin Shockey, Pontiac, along with many cousins.

He is preceded by his grandparents: Eulas and Clara Grice and Kenneth Funk Sr and Carolyn Shockey.

Eric is a graduate of NCHS. He loved playing Madden Football and Call of Duty. Through his gaming he made many friends that he enjoyed playing with.

Eric will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him.
