Elmer H. Bergschneider Obituary (1908 - 2004)

Elmer H. Bergschneider, 96, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Taylorville, IL died at 10:15 pm Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1908 in Harvel, IL the son of John S. and Floy Mae Minnis Bergschneider. On July 24, 1954 he married Vivian M. Smith in Taylorville, and she preceded in death on February 24, 1998. Mr. Bergschneider was a Guard at Peabody Coal Company Mine #10 and was a former employee of Circle Steel and a truck driver. He is survived by his son, James Bergschneider and wife Beverly of Taylorville, IL; 3 daughters: Martha Ann Wanrsing and husband Leon of Raymond, IL, Mary Harriss Adams of Phoenix, AZ and Rose Marie Blackburn and husband David of Taylorville. 2 step-sons: Samuel J. Kerney and wife Patsy and Michael L. Kerney and wife Pam; step-daughter: Kathleen Ann Rhodes all of Taylorville. 2 sisters: Helen Boehler of Raymond, IL and Leona Hacker of Girrard, IL. 19 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 13, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home Taylorville with Father Martin O'Hara officiating. Burial will be in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
