Elma Pinkston Obituary (1918

N. Elma Pinkston, 85, of Assumption, IL died at 7:40 pm Saturday, May 29, 2004 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1918 in Owensville, MO the daughter of James Robert and Nora E. Collier. On August 21, 1941 she married Dale O. Pinkston in Stonington, IL and he preceded in death on December 24, 1988. Mrs. Pinkston was a member of the Assumption Christian Church, Tacusah Lodge Order of Eastern Star in Assumption and she was an avid Pinochle player. Surviving are her son, E. Dale Pinkston and wife Karen of Little Suamico, WI and two daughters, Patricia Osborne of Niantic, IL and Carol Hunter and companion Steven Brownback of Assumption, IL. Brother: Elvin R. Collier and wife Margaret of Toledo, OH. 8 Grandchildren, John Pinkston and wife Jean of Baraboo, WI; Paul Pinkston of Green Bay, WI; Jennifer Folk and husband Thomas of Little Suamico, WI; Shawna Summers of Bloomington, IL; Michelle Peliquin of Decatur, IL; Timothy Osborne of Texas; Benjamin Hunter of Vernon Hills, IL and David Hunter of Carbondale, IL. 9 Great Grandchildren: Eric Pinkston, Sarah Pinkston, Abigail Pinkston, Colin Nelson, Jason Folk, Wesley Folk, Lindsey Summers, Matthew Murphy and Colby Osborne. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, June 3, 2004 in the Assumption Christian Church with Rev. John Coney officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL and one hour prior to services in the church on Thursday.
