Elizabeth 'Betty' Kennedy Obituary (1926

Toluca- Elizabeth 'Betty' Kennedy, 97, of Toluca, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at her home in Toluca. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be given to Toluca-Rutland Fire Protection District. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Homes in Toluca is assisting with arrangements. Elizabeth was born on January 20, 1926, in Peru. She married Thomas Stanley Kennedy on September 8, 1948, in Peru. He preceded her in death in 2014. Surviving are her 2 sons, William (Beth) Kennedy, DeKalb, IL; John F. Kennedy, Willowick, OH; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. She was married to her husband Stan a native of Toluca for 68 years. Betty was quite an athlete in her day playing tennis and golf into her 80's. She had won many golf tournaments including at the prestigious Doral country club in Florida. We will be announcing in upcoming weeks a celebration of her life at the Antioch Christian Church in Toluca.
