Edward Broux

Edward J. “Ed” Broux, 82, of Pana, died December 1, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1943, in California, the son of Edward and Julia Broux. Ed lived in Santa Cruz, California, during his youth before moving to Pana in his teens. He worked at Caterpillar until his retirement. Ed loved traveling—especially his trips back to California—and spending time with his family.
Ed and Lorraine Frailey were married on November 6, 1965, in Pana, and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2011.
Ed is survived by his son, Jeff Broux (Paula); grandchildren, Kaylee Pawlowski (Jeremiah) and Cody McLaughlin (Grace); great-grandchildren, Bellah Pawlowski, Brayden Pawlowski, Brielle Pawlowski, Mae McLaughlin, and Louie McLaughlin; and his sister, Mary Littrell. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Phyllis Shank and Jo Machado.
Per Ed’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no services are planned; a private burial will be held.
Memorials in Ed’s honor may be made to the Pana Community Hospital Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, which is assisting the family.
