Edna V. Stalets Obituary (1919 - 2007)

Edna V. Stalets, 87, of Pana died Friday, June 29, 2007 at 11:20 a.m. in her residence. She was born November 7, 1919 in Pana, IL, the daughter of John Catherine Turley Drescik, deceased. Edna lived most of her life in Pana. She had been employed by the State of Illinois and had previously worked at Mallory and in area restaurants. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana and the Pana V.F.W. Auxiliary. Edna Drescik married Stanley A. Stalets, he preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by her children, Jim Stalets wife Cynthia, Glenarm, IL and Joyce Saylan, Houston, TX; 4 grandchildren: Chris Stalets wife Melissa, Edwardsville, IL; Brian Stalets, Chicago, IL; Jeff Irvin, Houston, TX; Jeri Braswell husband Joel, Houston, TX; 2 great grandchildren: Abby Stalets Julianne Braswell; and by her sister, Francie Jones, Decatur, IL. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Micek and brother, John "Yock" Drescik. Funeral Information A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Don J. Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana. There will be no visitation.
