Edith M. Pauley Obituary (1926 - 2020)

Edith M. Pauley, 93, of Pana passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born November 13, 1926 in Pana, daughter of the late Carl Frederick & Lela Maud (Parkison) Garber. Edith was a graduate of Pana High School. She was the secretary for Presnell Brothers Concrete and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pana. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, sewing, canning & freezing vegetables and loved taking care of her flowers. Edith married Louis I. "Bud" Pauley on April 28, 1946 in Peoria, IL and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1998. Edith is survived by her children: Ruth Ann Foil, Loganville, GA; Mary M. (Eldon) Evans, Lilburn, GA; Linda (Lonnie) Hradec, Winter Haven, FL; Bob (Cathy) Pauley, Pana, IL; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by her son in law John Foil, grandson Phil Foil, and 5 siblings. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in Linwood Cemetery, Pana with Pastor Nat Kealan officiating. Memorials in Edith's honor may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
