Edeana Taylor

Edeana Taylor, 86 of Champaign, formerly of Taylorville, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 20, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1940, in Lamar, Missouri, the daughter of Emmitt and Nellie White. She married Roy Taylor on November 24th, 1961.

Edeana earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and worked as CPA for over two decades. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, where she played in the bell choir. She enjoyed reading, planning trips, learning about things her grandchildren were interested in, and playing the piano. Her musicianship was vital to all three of her children.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Taylor; her children, Stephen Taylor (Hua), Robert Taylor (Sarah), and Susan Halko (John); her grandchildren, Lincoln Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Isaac Taylor, Miles Taylor, Maya Halko, and Scott Halko; and her sister, Joan Lucietta (Jerry).
