Dr. Sun San Lin, MD

Dr. Sun San Lin, MD, 77, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be from 10 am until the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.

Sun was born July 10, 1941 in Taichung, Taiwan, son of Sen-Won and Yang Yen Lin. He married Ya Chang on April 23, 1970.

Surviving are his wife, Ya of Bloomington; two children, Evelyn (Kurt) Paulsen of Middleton, WI and Johnny (Vicky) Lin of Oak Brook, IL and five grandchildren, Anna, Stephen & Lydia Paulsen and Kyle & Cameron Lin. Also surviving are his siblings, Grace Tsung of St. Paul, MN, Yue Kan Lin and Green Dong Lin, both of Taipei, Taiwan, Terry Yeh of Lafayette, CO, Monica Wei of Darien, IL and Faye Lu of Tustin, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Dr. Lin was an obstetrics and gynecology physician in Bloomington, IL where he had his own practice for over 30 years before retiring.

He enjoyed playing tennis, hiking in National Parks with his wife, but most of all, traveling with his family and grandchildren.
