Dorothy "Dottie" Fears Obituary (1947 - 2024)

Dorothy “Dottie” M. Fears, 77, of Pontiac, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 6:40 a.m. at her home. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac, IL. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Dottie was born on March 11, 1947, in Pontiac, IL to Duke and Eleanor (Konetski) Wolf. She is survived by her children, Steve Mussche, Sherri Cupp, Brenda (Terry) Waber, and Jodi (Brian Fitzsimmons) Romero; grandchildren, Jami Wilkerson, Carissa (Kyle) Reece, Kyel Johnson, Timothy (Kimberly Rowland) Fears, Celina (Tommy Dunlap) Romero, and Nicole Schmidt-Mussche; great grandchildren, Landon Wilkerson, Mason Wilkerson, Bryk Wilkerson, Luca Fears, Bently Fears, Esme Dunlap, Anakin Dunlap, Halle Mitchell, and Quinn Reece; siblings, Mary Lou (Richard) Salvator, John P. Wolf, Dave (Trudy) Wolf, Betsy (John) Perring, Gregg (Sally) Wolf, Ellen (Craig) Spencer, Joe (Mary) Wolf, Diane (Steve) Uecker, Carol (Dan) Faust, Donna (Gib) Winter, and Richard (Darlene) Wolf; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Georgia Carol Wolf, in infancy. Dottie attended Pontiac Schools and later graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, WA. She was a member of the Pontiac VFW Post 886 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac. Dottie enjoyed oil painting, fishing, playing cards, helping others in need, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Dottie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Pontiac.
