–

Bloomington, Illinois

Our precious mother, Doris Jean Camp, 84, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:02 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the VFW Post 454, 1006 E Lincoln St, Bloomington, IL 61701 or Humane Society of Central Illinois, 423 Kays Dr, Normal, IL 61761.

Doris was born November 2, 1938, in Bloomington, the daughter of Cecil and Agnes "Downey" Monkman. She married Russell Camp on Dec. 6, 1958, in Bloomington. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rusty Camp; four brothers, Dick, Danny, Johnny, and Donald Monkman; one brother-in-law, Rick Roeske; one sister-in-law, Helen Monkman.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Camp, of Normal; son, Rick (David Camp-Gerhardt) Gerhardt-Camp, Hobart, Ind.; two granddaughters, Rylee and Mariah Camp; seven siblings, Darleen Terrell, Ron (Susan) Monkman, Diane Roeske, Donna (Mike) Regnier, Debbie (Marty) Brown, Mike (Margie) Monkman and Dennis Monkman; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friend, Paulita Killian.

Doris worked at Eureka for over 40 years. She was also an active member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary for many years. However, her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her two granddaughters. She was extremely proud of both of them.
Doris was a very humble person and always put others before herself. She loved her family and friends more than life itself. She touched so many lives and we were so blessed to have her as our mother.
