Doris A. Bauer

Doris A. Bauer of Stonington died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Rolla Manor N.H., Rolla, MO.

She was born August 31, 1918 in Christian County near Stonington, daughter of Harry L and Lula I. Simpson Blome, Sr. On September 10, 1938 she married Lee A. Bauer in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stonington and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son: Ronald Bauer of Santa Ana, CA; Daughter Donna J. Hopkins and husband Mark of Rolla, MO; two grandchildren: Steven Hopkins of Independence, MO and Kelly Hopkins of St. Louis, MO. One brother: Harry Blome Jr. and wife Mary of Stonington. He was preceded in death by his parents, husband, sister, Luella Childs and an infant sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 1 at First Baptist Church in Stonington with Rev. Billy Bob Howard officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service in the church on Monday.
