She married Charles E. “Charlie” Alwood June 22, 1968 in Clinton, IL. He passed away February 8, 2022. Survivors include her children, Michael (Kathleen Alcorn) Alwood, Springfield, IL, Susie (Steve Starkey) Schmid, Clinton, IL, and Claude (Gala) Alwood, Weldon, IL; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; twin brothers, Ollie (Kay) Mandrell, Clinton, IL & Charlie Mandrell, Clinton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Doris took pride in working for the school district with the children.
