Donnell Ray Moseley Obituary (1943

Donnell R. (Ray) Moseley, 66, of Taylorville, IL died at 8:23 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. He was born July 19, 1943 in Clay City, IL the son of Hubert C. and Ellarea Harrison Moseley. On June 20, 1965 he married Margaret H. Petty in Clay City, IL. He graduated from Clay City High, SIU Carbondale with a BS in Education and Murray State with a MS in Science. He taught at Nokomis, Edinburg and Taylorville High Schools before entering the pest control industry and later becoming a manager of Springfield Terminix. He served on the Illinois Pest Control Association as member, Secretary and two terms as President before retiring in December 2008. He was honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the association in September 2008 for his leadership. He was affiliated with West Side Christian Church in Springfield. Surviving are his wife: Margaret Moseley of Taylorville; Daughters: Stephanie Rae Moseley of Taylorville, Danielle Hayes and husband Jeffery of Portage, IN, and Lenee Moseley of Springfield. Grandchildren: Hadassah Hayes and Moriah Hayes. Mother: Ellarea Moseley of Flora. Sister: Cheryl H. Headlee and husband Dennis of Xenia, IL. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, November 2 at McClure Funeral Home Taylorville with Rev. Gary Winkleman officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday at McClure Funeral Home.
