Donna Mae Sargeant

Donna Mae Sargeant, 74, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:00 am Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville.

She was born February 21, 1936 in Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Donald F. and Evelyn Mae Kissler Austin. On June 22, 1957 she married Douglas Jack Sargeant in Portland, OR. Mrs. Sargeant was a member of Crossroads Apostolic Ministries in Taylorville and she had been active in the United Pentecostal Church International her adult life. She had been employed by the Iowa Public Employees, and had served as Secretary to Rear Admiral Hyman G. Rickover and she did the paper work for the Nautilis submarine.

Surviving are her husband: Doug Sargeant of Taylorville; 2 Sons: Kendall Sargeant and wife Sara Gail of Vienna, IL and Brian L. Sargeant and wife Trina of St. Charles, MO. Grandchildren: Randall Sargeant and wife Amy of Huntsville, AL,, Anthony Sargeant and wife Trinidad of Taylorville, and Steven Sargeant of Vienna, IL. Great Grandchildren: Ryannon Sargeant, Shea Sargeant, Nicolae Sargeant, and Ashton Sargeant. Brother: Kenneth E. Austin and wife Marilyn of Nampa, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Renae Sargeant.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 14 at Crossroads Apostolic Ministries in Taylorville with Randall Sargeant officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Church.
